HYRACUSE On Wednesday, June 11, members of the Syracuse Community Hands 4-H club completed more than nine hours of community service. The Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation property along SR 13, south of Syracuse, had a native flower bed that needed to be cleaned up.
To make the area around the sign more attractive, fourteen 4-H members and adult volunteers spent hours removing undesired plants and weeds from the native garden bed.
By providing chances that foster leadership, citizenship, and life skills, Four-H inspires young people to realize their greatest potential.
These and other Kosciusko County 4-H members’ 4-H projects will be on display at the Kosciusko County Fair, which takes place from July 6–11.
