Rochester Teen Obtains Eagle Scout Rank

ROCHESTER — Joshua DeSonia recently earned his Eagle Scout rank by repainting the 1876 train depot at the Fulton County Museum outside Rochester.

DeSonia, of Rochester, who will be a sophomore in the fall at Rochester Community High School, achieved his rank on Wednesday, May 28.

The teen, who’s a member of Scouting America Troop 219, has been in scouting for nine years. He worked with other volunteers over a year and a half to sand and repaint the building, with their total work being 378 hours.
