On August 13, 2025, in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, Through the online college connection site Niche, Thomas More University begins its second year of direct admissions. In keeping with a broader trend of colleges and universities throughout the United States expediting the college admissions process for students and families, Thomas More provides direct admission to eligible high school seniors through this relationship.
Students who fulfill Thomas More’s enrollment requirements will be informed right away that they are invited to become a part of the Saints community based on the details they have supplied in their Niche profile.
According to Justin Vogel, associate vice president for enrollment at Thomas More, “our first year partnering with Niche for direct admissions was a tremendous success.” Through Niche, admission offers were made to little under 20 first-year students in our fall 2025 incoming class who might not have otherwise thought of Thomas More.
As progressive universities like Thomas More work to remove obstacles that prevent many students from seeking higher education, particularly those who are Pell Grant-eligible, first-generation, or minority, direct admissions programs are growing across the country. The University’s objective to provide students of all faiths and beliefs with a top-notch, values-based Catholic liberal arts education is in line with this creative outreach initiative.
More than 50 million people use Niche each year to find and select the college that best suits their needs, and half of seniors who are planning to attend college make a profile there. Through Niche Direct Admissions, students who fulfill the requirements will be able to check their acceptance status instantaneously, receive scholarship offers up front, study comprehensive college information, and start the enrollment process all within their Niche account. Institutions like Thomas More are able to reach more students outside of their own communities because to this program.
According to Niche’s creator and CEO, Luke Skurman, Niche is revolutionizing the way universities engage with students and create their future curricula. Admissions staff can deliver the speed, transparency, and personalization that today’s students and families want with the help of Niche Direct Admissions.
People from all throughout the nation make up our inaugural cohort of new students through Niche Direct Admissions. Vogel says, “We are excited about the special skills and experiences these new Saints will bring to the University community as we look forward to our second year partnering with Niche.”
