Press release: CliftonFest Returns to Ludlow Avenue on Saturday, September 13

Published On:

CliftonFest, the yearly celebration of music, art, food, and family fun, will take place on Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) on Ludlow Avenue. The public is welcome to attend this free program.

With over 40 artisan booths, 15 live performances, family activities, and hundreds of sidewalk chalk art carpets, CliftonFest, which is being held for the first time since 2019, highlights the diversity of local arts and culture. The event will also include beer from Mellotone Beer Project, one of Cincinnati’s newest local breweries led by a woman.

According to John Leo Muething, interim executive director of the Clifton Cultural Arts Center, it is very wonderful to see CliftonFest return this year with a fresh emphasis on community and the artists who contribute to the vibrancy of our area. This year’s event is especially noteworthy because so many people and groups have signed up to participate in the celebration’s resuscitation. I’m really excited to watch the community together for this fantastic celebration.

Visitors can purchase handcrafted artwork, savor food and beverages from the eateries along Ludlow Avenue, and watch local musicians perform live. Cincinnati favorites Remember and Wild Carrot will be among the featured live artists at CliftonFest. You can find a comprehensive list of chalk artists, artist dealers, and live performances online at CliftonCulturalArts.org/CliftonFest.

CliftonFest is supported by Ludlow Garage, TriHealth, Clifton Business Association, Clifton Town Meeting, Mellotone Beer Project, Mike Albert Fleet Solutions, and Aaron Weiner. CCAC would also like to thank its more than 20 Chalk Art Sponsors, who have supported dozens of sidewalk chalk art carpets for this year s event.
