The 32nd Regional Youth Leadership Class has been chosen by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
Twenty-three students from Northern Kentucky high schools were among the 47 students selected from high schools in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
Regional Youth Leadership aims to develop local students community leadership skills to retain talent in the region. The seven-month program promotes personal growth and leadership abilities like communication, teamwork and decision-making. Sessions, held monthly, cover topics including local government, economic development, arts and culture, human services, health, law, life skills, and leadership.

Through a competitive application process, students were chosen based on their demonstrated leadership potential, minimum 3.0 GPA, and obvious interest in learning more about the area and community leadership.
Ann Marie Whelan, Director of Leadership for the NKY Chamber, stated in a news release, “Every year, we are inspired by the drive and talent of the students who join this program, and this class is no different.” We’re honored to give them the opportunity to gain knowledge from prominent figures in our community, and we’re eager to watch how they use what they discover to bring about significant change in our area.
