Kenton County Animal Services to close on Mondays

Published On:

Kenton County Animal Services will no longer be open to the public on Mondays, effective Aug. 1.

This change will enable staff to dedicate additional time to deep cleaning and sanitation efforts, which the shelter said are crucial for maintaining a healthy and safe environment for the animals in their care.

“Shelter life can be tough on pets, and creating a clean, low-stress environment is a key way we can support animal health and wellness,” Kenton County Animal Services Director Kelly Sauer said in a press release. “Dedicating Mondays to enhanced cleaning helps us stay ahead of potential health concerns and ensures we’re always providing the best possible care.”
