Dixie Heights 10; Simon Kenton 20
The Pioneers defeat Dixie Heights for the fourth consecutive game to begin the Joe Wynn era.
After a nearly scoreless half, Landon Brown ripped off a 65-yard touchdown with 1:48 to play to give the Pioneers a 6-3 lead at the break.

With less than four minutes remaining in the third, Jordan Pendleton scored a three-yard rushing touchdown to make it 13-3. At the end of the third, a four-yard rushing score put the Colonels within three. With eight minutes remaining, Grant Webb’s 32-yard touchdown reception for Forest Hughes delivered the decisive blow to Simon Kenton.
Conner 0; Madison Central 43
In Richmond, the Cougars had a difficult evening. The Indians never looked back after Jeff Hairston of Madison Central returned the first kickoff for a score.
By halftime, Conner was behind 29-0 after an interception and a fumble in the end zone. By the end of the third, the Indians had a 43-0 lead thanks to a fourth Conner turnover.
Conner’s situation doesn’t get any easier when he faces Ryle the following week.
Scott 40, Campbell County 58
In this Claryville shootout, the Camels scored 34 points in the second half. The MVP award for the game went to Ayden Earls.
Dayton 24; Gallatin County 28
The Wildcats scored the game-winning touchdown with 25 seconds left after the Greendevils had led 16–7 at the half and 24–21 late.
Bellevue 34, County of Trimble 20
Bellevue came home from Bedford with a triumph, leading 25-0 at the half.
In the third quarter, Trimble pulled within 25-14, but the Tigers began their first of three road games of the season with a winning record.
Next week, the Tigers will visit Carlisle to play Nicholas County.
Walton-Verona Seven, Bishop Brossart 15
An interception that was recovered for a touchdown gave the Bearcats a 7–6 lead and their only score. Brossart added a field goal in the third and led 12–7 at the half. That concluded the evening’s scoring activity.
14 Newport Central Catholic, Lloyd Memorial 47
In the fourth quarter, the Juggernauts had a 47-7 lead after leading 26-7 at the half.
Ludlow 7, Newport 47
With advantages of 14-0 at the half, 33-7 at the half, and two touchdowns in the second half to secure the victory on the running clock, Newport dominated this one from the start.
Holmes, Boone County 32 0
The Rebels won the shutout with a 25-0 halftime lead.
