Flood Advisory in effect for northern Kenton, Campbell counties

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for northern Kenton and northern Campbell counties through 6:30 p.m.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms beginning around 4 p.m. led to the advisory.

The alert states that minor flooding is either already occurring in the advisory area or is anticipated to start soon. It has rained one to one and a half inches. An additional 0.5 to 1 inch of rain is possible.

The following cities are impacted: Dayton, Ludlow, Southgate, Crescent Springs, Crestview Hills, Park Hills, Taylor Mill, Bellevue, Newport, Edgewood, Fort Mitchell, Villa Hills, Highland Heights, Covington, Erlanger, Fort Thomas, Newport, and Edgewood.
