Fischer Homes is going back to revise plans for its Overlook at Sunrock development in Wilder after a request to change regulations related to required parking spaces.

Delivered to your inbox every weekday morning, these are the stories that everyone in NKY will be talking about.

There will be 611 mixed-use residential apartments at Overlook at Sunrock. Initial plans were authorized by the Wilder Planning & Zoning Commission in 2021.

What’s the hang-up, then?

According to the Wilder zoning rule, there must be 1.75 parking spaces provided for each one-bedroom unit in the development, and two parking spaces for each two-bedroom unit.

Fischer initially asked that the construction adhere to Kenton County’s parking laws, which stipulate that one space must be provided for each one-bedroom unit and 1.5 spaces for each two-bedroom apartment.

It is anticipated that the new designs will adhere to Wilder’s parking laws.

According to City Administrator Terry Vance, they can begin as long as their submitted plans and Stage 2 plans align with Stage 1 plans.
