Danny Dee Hayes, 84, Silver Lake, died at 12:47 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born July 11, 1940, in Grant County, Indiana. He is survived by his life partner of 39 years, Myra Smith, Silver Lake.
He also is survived by his son, Erik (Katrina) Hayes, Wabash; two grandsons; two brothers, Buddy (Marilyn) Hayes, Huntington, and Jerry Hayes, Lincolnville, Ind.; sister, Carla Gaines, Lincolnville, Ind.; bonus daughter, Trisha (Greg) Scheible, Indianapolis; three bonus grandchildren; and one bonus great-grandson.
