According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney General’s Office, he was also discovered in possession of a firearm, a digital scale, a money counter, 2,973 grams of marijuana, and $1,440 in cash.

Apparently, Pardo operated a Florence motel where he sold drugs. After conducting a bust with the help of a confidential informant, police were able to search the motel room and find the previously described things.

According to the press release, Pardo acknowledged having these things, including the cocaine and the gun, and he also acknowledged using the gun to enhance his drug trafficking activities. In February, Pardo and prosecutors came to a plea agreement.

Pardo must serve at least 85% of his prison sentence before he is eligible for probation. Upon his release, he will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for the remainder of his life.
