Boardman, Marge
On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Marjorie A. Marge Boardman, 92, of Bourbon, died in Warsaw while her daughters were by her side.
Molly and Belton Fowler welcomed Marge into the world on January 13, 1933, in Gaffney, South Carolina. After marrying Jack Boardman in Wabash in 1951, she relocated to Indiana. They relocated to Bourbon in 1963.
Marge was well-known for her strong character and her passion for purses, shoes, and clothing. She retired from her position as a customer service representative at Lake City Bank of Warsaw and spent many years as the owner of the Tree House clothes boutique in Bourbon.
Mollie (Vern) Hurd, of Warsaw; Helen (Tony) Tribalski, of Etna Green; Howard (Tammie) Boardman, Bourbon; and Julie Boardman, of Warsaw, are their four children; Craig, Nathan, Blanca, Thaine, Amber, Ashley, Aubrey, Lesley, Kristen, Nic, and Keegan are their eleven grandchildren; and there are eleven great-grandchildren left behind.
All five of Marge’s siblings in South Carolina, her husband Jack Boardman, her son Jim Boardman, two grandkids, and one great-grandson all passed away before her.
The Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, located at 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, will host a visiting on Thursday, June 19, from noon to two p.m. Bishop Mark Cottrill will preside over the funeral ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
The funeral will be held in Bourbon’s Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
In Marge’s honor, memorial contributions can be donated to the United Pentecostal Church, located at 201 N. Bourbon St., Bourbon, IN 46504.
