The 85th annual conference of WARSAW Kosciusko REMC was held at the KREMC facilities on Thursday, June 12.
Members were given the chance to vote in the election of the board of directors, get a $10 bill credit, a complimentary meal, and a unique gift during the drive-thru-style meeting.
With an estimated 3,306 people in attendance and 1,828 votes cast, this year shattered attendance records. Furthermore, about 2,000 people viewed the video of the annual meeting broadcast on KREMC’s YouTube account.
According to Tim Landrigan, president and CEO of Kosciusko REMC, “Every year, our team looks forward to this event.” The chance to discuss our cooperative’s accomplishments over the last year and to thank our members with a meal, gift, and bill credit is excellent. Additionally, it provides our members with the opportunity to vote in the election of the board of directors and have their voices heard.
Three positions on the board of directors were up for election. Gabe Ayers won the third seat, which was left vacant by Tony Fleming’s resignation, while incumbent candidates Dan Tucker and Todd Smith kept their seats.
During its annual meeting, KREMC also gave out 10 $1,000 John H. Anglin scholarships and 10 $350 4-H awards.
The purpose of the John H. Anglin scholarship is to provide cooperative members with financial support as they pursue higher education. Addison Mehlberg, Annabel Parker, Anna Arter, Lucy Ray, David Ousley, Madeline Lezark, McKale Hagg, Natalie Linnemeier, Rachel Koorey, and Rylee Burns were the 2025 John H. Anglin scholarship winners.
Students receive assistance with their 4-H projects through the 4-H scholarships. Olivia Parker, Ace Richcreek, Cruz Nunez, Chloe Nunez, Jay Roberts, Kate Rivir, Owen Backus, Robert Messmore, Trevor Roberts, and Tripp Anderson were the beneficiaries of the 2025 4-H scholarship.
It is an honor to annually invest in our children and community through these scholarships, said Landrigan. Every year, our scholarship committee puts a lot of effort into reviewing all of the applications and selecting the winners.
In order to assist the KREMC membership, Kosciusko REMC staff, board members, and volunteers put up the annual meeting each year.
