Jeffersonville USA Today readers have voted a candy business in southern Indiana with over 130 years of history the finest in the nation.
The USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice list for America’s Best Candy Store was topped by Schimpff’s Confectionery in downtown Jeffersonville.
Since its founding in 1891, the fifth-generation family-run company has operated using many of the same original recipes, including those for its famous Cinnamon Red Hots.
Apart from its handcrafted confections, the shop has a nostalgic deli and a vintage soda fountain with malts, milkshakes, sundaes, and other drinks.
The nationwide acclaim emphasizes Schimpff’s established status as a popular candy destination nationwide.
