Terry Lee Lynch, of Leesburg, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, in the care of Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center of Warsaw at the age of 83.

He was born on Aug. 15, 1941, in Warsaw, to Mary (Idle) Lynch and Wayne Lynch. Terry was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a 1959 graduate of Mentone High School. At the young age of 21, Terry married the love of his life, Rebecca Jean Shue. They were blessed to have shared almost 50 years of marriage together before Rebecca passed away on Feb. 15, 2012.

Terry started his mechanical career at Shue Spray Service in Winona Lake and later owned his own repair shop, Lynch’s Service Center in Leesburg. He was a truly hardworking man, who simply loved his job and could always be found working on a vehicle, seven days a week and 12 or more hours a day. Yet, he always found time for his family and enjoyed being involved in his community, from being a longtime fireman for the Leesburg Fire Department to a beloved member of the Leesburg Lions Club.

Terry was always “The Guy” one could turn to for volunteering his time wherever he was needed. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand for many community events that took place over the years. Being a mechanic, he enjoyed auto racing, especially attending the Indy 500, which was a family tradition. He never tired of watching NASCAR, NHR drag racing, watching college women’s basketball and his cooking channel. Terry enjoyed spending as much time as he could outdoors as well, standing outside visiting and gardening.

Terry will forever be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and dear friend to many. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Michael Lynch, Fishers, and two daughters, Angie Eherenman, Garner, N.C., and Jenny Lynch, Chicago. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Alex, Ross, Jessica, Mallory, Meghan, Hayden and Ethan; three great-grandchildren, Ruby, Birdie and Becket; brother, Richard (Betty) Lynch, Claypool; and his sister, Janice (John) Feldman, Akron. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rebecca Jean Lynch; son, Charles “Chuck” Lynch; and his sister, Judy Feldman.

Terry’s life will be celebrated with a service at noon Friday, June 20, at

Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home

, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Friends and family may visit prior to the service, from 10 a.m. until noon. A graveside service will follow at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
