NOBLE COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that the closure of SR 9 south of Albion for a culvert replacement will begin about a month later than originally anticipated.

Starting on or after Monday, July 7, crews will be replacing the culvert between West CR 25N and 100N. Work on the project is expected to be complete by early August. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of US 33 and US 6 or seek an alternative route.

INDOT encourages drivers to use extra caution and drive distraction-free when traveling in and around work zones.
