WARSAW — A Claypool woman was arrested for allegedly battering her co-worker.
Elizabeth Carol Blair, 44, 8822 S. 600W, Claypool, is charged with battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and strangulation, both level 6 felonies; and battery resulting in bodily injury, a class A misdemeanor.
On Aug. 12, 2024, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a battery report at Creighton Brothers. A woman was strangled by a co-worker, later identified as Blair.
According to court documents, the woman said she and Blair argued and that the incident turned physical when Blair grabbed her around the throat, choking her and throwing her to the ground. The deputy noticed the woman had small bruises on her collar bone and left jaw line, and redness around her throat area.
Blair left the business prior to the deputy’s arrival. Surveillance video showed Blair walking toward the woman, grabbing her by the throat and shoving her backward.
Blair was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on May 20, 2025. She has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Monday, June 9, in Kosciusko Superior Court Two.
