In a letter penned by HR Generalist Krystle Figueroa of Constellis, of which Omniplex is a subsidiary, the company states the layoffs will take effect on July 31, following the sudden termination of their contract with Kentucky’s Amazon Warehouse Services.
“Omniplex World Services Corp. received notice of this contract termination on June 27, 2025, and this contract is the only source of available work for the impacted workers,” the letter reads.
The letter lists four addresses, but it’s not clear from the letter alone if the locations are exclusively Amazon facilities. It’s also not clear from the letter if the contract termination was routine or due to something else. LINK nky has reached out Constellis for more information.
Usually, companies are required to notify the state of impending layoffs within 60 days of them occurring, but Omniplex admits to failing to abide by this regulation due to “the lack of notice from the client.”
